Why read fantasy?
1. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin: A Game of Thrones is the first book from a series with the same title. In this fantasy, readers will have a hard time, in fact, they may not be able to tell the good characters from the bad. There are a lot of conflicts, moral dilemmas, and brutality in this book too! It has all the perfect recipes of a fantasy novel, written in a way that hardcore fantasy aficionados will surely love!
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling: It all started in this book - the global craze, the endless role-playing and cosplaying, and endless points of comparison as fans read and reread the book before and after watching the movie again and again. It is an exceptional start of a beautifully crafted fantasy series.
3. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien: It is a classic story of good against evil. This is about a journey led by a hobbit. The group traveled and fought in life-threatening instances and elements as they try to destroy a ring that a dark lord seeks.
